About Alana Warhit, M.D.
I am an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Â鶹¸ßÇå and an Assistant Attending Psychiatrist in the Emergency Department at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. I specialize in Adult Psychiatry and provide comprehensive mental health evaluations and consultations as both a psychotherapist and a psychopharmacologist. I take an integrative approach to mental health with the goal of optimizing my patient's overall well-being.
Dr. Warhit received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Columbia University. She received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was awarded a Dean's Recognition Award and the Maurice Greenhill Award for excellence in Psychiatry. Dr. Warhit completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency training at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Â鶹¸ßÇå, where she was selected as Chief Resident in her final year of residency. Dr. Warhit was also awarded the Distinguished Housestaff Award, which recognizes one member of the housestaff from each department for all-around excellence. Dr. Warhit welcomes new patients into her practice for consultations, psychotherapy, diagnostic evaluations, and medication management.
