Personal Statement

I am an endocrinologist who is specialized in adrenal disease, endocrine hypertension, pituitary disease, neuroendocrine disease, endocrine tumors, and multiple endocrine neoplasia syndromes, as well as general endocrinology. My aim has always been to strive to achieve excellence in medicine in order to provide the best care for my patients and advance in teaching and research. My goal is to deliver patient-centered care that is compassionate and thorough through collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team that includes specialists in radiology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.

Biographical Info

Dr. Crystal Kamilaris is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Physician at the New York Presbyterian Hospital. She is specialized in endocrinology and internal medicine with a clinical and research focus on adrenal diseases, endocrine hypertension, pituitary diseases, endocrine tumors, and multiple endocrine neoplasia syndromes. She received her medical degree from the University of Patras Medical School in Greece and subsequently completed her residency training in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut. She completed her fellowship training in adult endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Following her fellowship, she was appointed as a Research Staff Clinician and Ward Chief of Inpatient Endocrinology at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) at the NIH and as a faculty member for the NIH Endocrinology Fellowship Program. She also served as the NICHD Director of Graduate Medical Education and Co-Director of the Outpatient Endocrinology Clinic. Her research experience includes being principal investigator on clinical research protocols focused on primary aldosteronism, Cushing’s syndrome, adrenocortical tumors causing hormone excess, Carney Complex, and pituitary disease and she continues to work in these areas.
