Manjil Chatterji, MD is the Chief Quality Officer (CQO) for Â鶹¸ßÇå and Division Chief of Abdominal and Pelvic Imaging in the Department of Radiology. His clinical expertise are focused in liver, pancreas, bowel and prostate imaging.
He joined Â鶹¸ßÇå in 2020 as Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology.
Dr. Chatterji received his BA magna cum laude from University of Missouri. He received his MD with Honors from Emory University. During medical school, he spent an additional year as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) fellow at the NIH.
He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
Following a transitional internship at Cambridge Hospital, Dr. Chatterji trained as a resident in Diagnostic Radiology from 2004 to 2009 at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), the primary teaching hospital of Harvard University where he was also elected Chief Resident. Subsequently, Dr. Chatterji was fellowship-trained in Abdominal and Cardiac MRI from 2009-2010 at New York University.
Dr. Chatterji is the elected Radiology representative to the Weill Cornell General Faculty Council (GFC). Areas of expertise include healthcare economics, serving as an ACR councilor and on the ACR economics subcommittee. In addition, he serves as representative to the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) development of MACRA, a program that champions cost and quality in medicine. Dr. Chatterji is a member and reviewer of the RSNA QA/QI awards committee. He is a member of the Society of Abdominal Radiology, and the Crohn’s Disease Focused Panel.
Dr. Chatterji has received the New York ‘SuperDoctors’ designation published with the New York Times Magazine. Past awards include Radiology 'Teacher of the Year,' and the Institute for Medical Education Excellence in Teaching Award.
