Biographical Info

Marina J. Corines, M.D. is a Board Certified radiologist specializing in Breast Imaging. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at Â鶹¸ßÇå and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus. She also serves as the Associate Program Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship Training Program.

Dr. Corines graduated from Vanderbilt University where she earned her B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology in 2012. She then received her M.D. at New York Medical College, School of Medicine in 2018, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society.

Following an internship in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC from 2018 to 2019, Dr. Corines completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center from 2019 to 2023, during which she was elected and served as Chief Resident. She received the Robert D. Zimmerman, MD award in 2022 as well as the Distinguished Housestaff and Alexander R. Margulis, MD, DSc awards in 2023. She then completed a fellowship in Breast and Body Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2023 to 2024. Dr. Corines joined the faculty at Â鶹¸ßÇå in September 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology.

Dr. Corines’s clinical expertise is in Breast Imaging. She interprets a variety of imaging studies, including mammography (2D, digital breast tomosynthesis, and contrast-enhanced mammography), breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. She performs image-guided breast interventional procedures including stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI-guided biopsies as well as pre-operative radioactive seed localizations.

Dr. Corines is actively involved in community outreach and engagement efforts within the WCM and greater NYC communities. Her research interests include contrast-enhanced mammography, breast MRI, and artificial intelligence/radiomics. She is a member of several radiological and breast imaging societies. In addition to her clinical and research activities, Dr. Corines is an active teacher and mentor of medical students, residents, and fellows.
