Biographical Info

Marta Torres- Quinones received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University in 1991, and then proceeded to obtain an M.P.H in epidemiology from the University of Puerto Rico School of Public Health in San Juan in 1992. She then matriculated at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, pursuing an M.D. degree which she received in 1998. Dr. Torres-Quinones then completed a Pathology residency at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California, and at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Subsequently, she did a cytopathology fellowship at Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia, and then completed a dermatopathology fellowship at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology in New York. She completed her training in 2004. She has had a variety of professional staff positions at: the Laboratory of Dermatopathology in Port Washington, New York; Aesthetic Dermatology in Daly City, California, as well as a position at Dermatocor, Bostwick Laboratories in Uniondale, New York. She also served as a staff dermatologist at LabCorp in San Diego, California. At her last position she was the Director of Dermatopathology at Hato Ray Pathology Associates in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is boarded in Pathology as well as Dermatopathology.
