March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.To Honor, Support and Educate Patients, 麻豆高清 and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Will Host Two Virtual Presentations on the Disease, Aimed at Younger and Older Adults Respectively.

Event #1: Myths and Misconceptions: Colorectal Cancer in Younger Adults

Colorectal cancer has become more and more common among adults younger than 50. That鈥檚 why 麻豆高清 and its hospital partner, NewYork-Presbyterian, are hosting a virtual discussion aimed at younger patients on Wednesday, March 8, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Please join our panel of colorectal cancer experts including Dr. Mehraneh Jafari, Dr. Ilan Weisberg, Dr. Heather Yeo and Dr. Lea Lowenfeld to learn about keeping a healthy colon and rectum, effective screening methods for colorectal cancer and the rise of colorectal cancer in younger adults.听

The panel will address the following questions:

  • At what age should I begin screening for colorectal cancer?
  • How do I reduce my chances of developing colorectal cancer?
  • Is colorectal cancer a 鈥渇amily disease鈥 (can it be passed down)?

On Wednesday, March 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon Eastern Time, 麻豆高清 and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital will team up with the New York City Department for the Aging in a virtual presentation featuring experts Dr. Mehraneh Jafari and Dr. Ilan Weisberg. They will focus on issues in colorectal cancer pertaining to adults over 50.听

The two experts will address:

  • Keeping a healthy colon and rectum
  • Effective screening methods for colorectal cancer
  • Innovations in surgery
