About Ulrike W. Kaunzner, MD, PhD
Dr. Kaunzner has an interest in autoimmune disorders of the nervous system and specializes in evaluation and management of patients with Multiple Sclerosis and other neuroinflammatory disorders. She is also actively involved in conducting translational research at the imaging center of the Judith Jaffe MS Center of Â鶹¸ßÇå. Dr. Kaunzner is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Kaunzner is Assistant Professor in Neurology at Â鶹¸ßÇå and an Assistant Attending Neurologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Â鶹¸ßÇå. She is also a supervising attending neurologist at the New York-Presbyterian Resident Multiple Sclerosis Clinic.
Dr. Kaunzner studied medicine in Jena and Paris, and received her medical degree from the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany. She then continued her postdoctoral training in Neuroinflammation/Neuroimmunity at the Rockefeller University, New York. After her Internship and Neurology residency at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, she completed a fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroinflammation at the Judith Jaffe MS Center of Weill-Cornell Medicine.
Dr. Kaunzner is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
